I can't even speak... But we all need to help |
A food bank in Louisiana (Foodbank) is coordinating all donations of food, clothing, and personal grooming items(toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, etc.) for the entire region. They specify the best type of food to send is something that is ready to eat, like canned chili. No microwave, no stovetop. And, of course, canned or boxed is better, and they won't accept anything home-made.
Ship stuff here: Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana 2307 Texas Avenue Shreveport, LA 71103
You can phone them at 318-678-2400
You can also join Katrina Aid to find out more ways to help.

We have contributed. My hubby took water, handy wipes, diapers and forumula to the Red Cross.
I think all of the Americans who are contributing way out number the few buttholes who are taking advantage.
That's what I choose to believe, anyway!
